Another extremely dry season. Planting wheat at 18kg/ha in June is unusual for our program, but planting light and late to match soil moisture, has helped this wheat survive. Its had 40 – 50mm rain incrop with a starting profile of about 60mm. In a normal season at Morvenvale wheat is planted at 35-40kg/ha. The drought conditions continue and this crop will need another 50mm this month to realize any potential.
