August Crop Update

Our crops hang in the balance as the dry continues. Yield potential is slipping away every week. With no rain forecast before September, it’s a tough season. The weather is either too cold or too hot. 30 degrees earlier this week was like a winter heatwave. The wheat is running to head and the chickpeas are flowering – both crops pushed, through lack of moisture. Should be an interesting few months ahead….

  1. Hi Dave, keep up the great reports. Lovely to see we aren’t the only own in this situation either!! Here’s hoping for that September rain.
