We have been looking at the canola everyday for the past few weeks and finally, it is ready. A couple of warm days last week – one at 36C, we felt the crop coming in quick, but temperatures have been mostly mild and much needed as the crops are short of moisture. Swathing canola started yesterday and will continue on over the next week or two. We are working on 9 metre swaths because of the size of the crop. To go wider to 12 metres would suit our tramlines, but the swath would be too big to dry down evenly. Stay tuned for more updates….
