Our chickpeas have handled the dry conditions well to date, but good September rains hold the key to a successful crop. If it stays dry, we could be harvesting end of October. A short crop this season, harvesters will be almost flat on the ground trying to pickup low pods.
We just finished a third fungicide spray today as a precaution before the next change comes through. The pictures below represent both Seamer and Hatrick desi chickpeas and Monarch Kabuli chickpeas.
